VILLA IL POGGIALE **** San Casciano V.P.

Nel cuore del Chianti, a pochi chilometri da Firenze, una villa rinascimentale classificata tra le "Dimore Storiche" italiane. Il Poggiale è stato interamente restaurato dai proprietari per offrire l'ospitalità e l'atmosfera di una casa di famiglia a un prezzo molto ragionevole. Villa Il Poggiale ha ambienti ampi e luminosi. Il grande salone affrescato con belle porte dipinte, il cuore della casa, è pieno di comode poltrone e accoglienti divani; vari altri salottini offrono spazi tranquilli per riposare o leggere. Le camere, tutte spaziose e diverse tra loro, hanno le pareti dipinte con colori fatti con terre e pigmenti naturali. I tessuti delle tende e dei letti a baldacchino provengono da piccole tessiture artigianali; sete orientali invece sono state impiegate nelle sale e nelle stanze del piano nobile. Grande cura si è dedicata alla decorazione dei bagni facendo fare appositamente piastrelle dai tenui colori. Il breakfast è servito nella sala da pranzo al pianterreno.

Seduti nel grande loggiato rinascimentale si gode la vista del giardino classico, avvolti dai profumi delle rose antiche, delle piante e delle essenze; anche nel cortile centrale con il pozzo e nei giardini che circondano la piscina ci sono piante che, a seconda delle stagioni, emanano dolci fragranze.

The Villa has wonderful light and spacious rooms. The large hall, the heart of the house, with its beautifully painted doors, has comfortable armchairs and welcoming sofas, while various other smaller lounges offer quiet, cozy corners for reading and relaxation. Each room has its own unique character. The walls are painted in soft pastels made from natural pigments. The fabrics used for curtains and canopies come from small Tuscan artisan workshops. Oriental silks, on the other hand, have been used in the salons and rooms on the ground floor. Great care has been taken in the decoration of the bathrooms where only custom made tiles in harmonious pastels have been used. There are 19 Standard rooms, Superior rooms and Junior Suites, 2 Suites, 3 Apartments with a small kitchen. All the rooms have:Private bathroom, Air conditioning, Mini-bar, Telephone, Tea and coffee making facilities, Satellite colour television, Direct dial phone and modem, Safe. Breakfast is served in the dining room on the ground floor, once the children's playroom. Seated under the Renaissance Loggia, guests can look out over the formal Italian gardens and be enveloped in the fragrance of old roses and flowering shrubs. Ornamental bushes also grow in the beautiful central courtyard and garden surrounding the swimming pool.

Le prime notizie di cui si dispone della Residenza risalgono al 1300, gli stessi affreschi presenti nel soggiorno e alcune foto ritrovate nelle varie fasi di ristrutturazione, sono un’ulteriore conferma della sua storicità. All’epoca risultava essere proprietà della Famiglia Nannini che in seguito ha dato spunto al nome della Piazza dove risiede Dimora Casa Eugenia. The residence has been named since 1300, some frescos in the lounge and some pictures taken during the restoration confirm the historical authenticity. The square where Dimora Casa Eugenia is located takes its name from the Nannini Family who originally owned the residence. Nowadays is the Bianchi family caring about the place and welcoming in.
